Stepping out of Your comfort zone.

Sometimes I find myself getting way too comfortable with the way things are.

I don't know if it's laziness, fear, or maybe I just forget that there is a whole lot of people out there that need to hear the Good News.

I don't care if your are running 5,000 Youth ministries or adult ministries if you arn't looking for a way to reach out even farther you arn't living up to your fullest potential. As Christians we should never be ok with what we are doing. We should never be comfortable with the way things are. Our work is never ending, because this is a fallen world whether we realize it or not.

Jesus didn't die so we could simply hear about what he did, believe, and then sit around and watch as the world falls further and further into darkness. Jesus called us to be a light to this world and by staying within your comfort zone you are limiting what God can do through you.

So I'd just like to encourage you through out this week to step out of your comfort zone, talk to someone you've never talked to before, befriend someone who you never gave a chance before, share the Good News. Let Jesus' light shine through you and let someone who's been stuck in the darkness all their lives finally see what they're missing out on.

Let me hear your thoughts!

Youth Group Leaders

This goes out to all the Youth Group Leaders what is the basic lay out of your youth group?
Also if you have any cool game ideas feel free to share them.

For example I usually go with some hang out time.. you know, play some games like knock out in the gym and stuff like that. Then we usually have a group game of some sort, just something fun to bring everyone together. After that we usually have lesson time that lasts about 20 minutes or so, then snack time (essential part of any youth group). After all that we hang out some more, and play some more games separately.

What we can get out of this blog.

I'm a Youth Director of a local church. I feel there is a lot of ignorant stereotypes out there about Christianity.

Unfortunately I also see a lot of these negative stereotypes being lived out by today's Christians. I'd like this Blog to be the beginning of something big.

A place for Youth Group leaders, Youth Group teens, parents, and just random people to share ideas on how to make this world a better place and how to show this upside-down world the love of Christ the way it was meant to be shown.

I know this is going to start out on a small scale but if we work together I think we can really make a difference.

please share your idea's and spark some conversation... Lets just see what happens.
